Perry Stone put the amateur field away with a solid 8.55 lb., three fish stringer from the back of Pro, Chris Horton's boat. They didn't burn much gas as they worked the main points from Mill Creek to Schooner Creek.

Stone was able to put all his fish in the box by 8 am from one main lake point in 25 to 35 feet of water. He fished a Jewel 5/8 oz.brown and purple football jig with a Chompers, green pumpkin purple flash trailer tied to 12 lb. BPS fluorocarbon line.

Stone drug the jig throuhg the limbs of cedar trees on the point and fund bites coming as the jig fell back to the bottom.

His win combined with a 3rd place Big Bass weighing in at 3.28 lbs., earned Stone $1,095 for the day.

Stone rips limit on single point at Table Rock on October 28, 2007

Perry Stone

A drop-shot rig put Dwight in 2nd Place with 7.15 lbs. while fishing with Sonny Moore. He was able to put five keepers to the boat but lost a big bite next to it. His 2nd Place finish paid $700.

Stone and his Pro partner rode to Indian Point and targeted brush piles or standing timber in deep water. The fish were suspended in 40 to 45 feet of water.

Dwight found a camo colored Kinami cut-tail worm to the liking of the fish. He presented it to the fish with a slight, occasional shake and also ripped the rig up as high as he could. A few bites came as his rig spiraled back down to the fish.

Dwight is sponsored by Championship Marine and Majestic Transport.

3rd Place goes to Dennis Davy of Osawatomie, KS

A green pumpkin Chompers twin-tail grub rigged behind a 5/8 oz. brown and purple Jewel football jig bagged a limit weighing 6.39 lbs. The five fish meant Dennis enjoyed a $625 pay day.

Dennis and his Pro, Buster Loving, rode down the lake to the dam area and was able to pull his fish from ledges in 35 to 40 feet of water. Dennis put his limit in the boat by 11 am by dragging the jig slowly on the bottom.
